Bellagamba is a chain of bodegones in Buenos Aires that have a Mixed customer service and self-service. We find hot dishes and a large buffet with all kinds of options, with an emphasis on typical portean food.

Among some of the dishes we can find milanese with french fries, empanadas, various cakes, homemade matambre, cannelloni, pasta…a bit of everything in a family atmosphere with generous portions and good prices. It is located on Avenida Rivadavia at 2138 in Congreso and is open 24 hours a day.

The history of Ocho Esquinas dates back to October 30, 1939, when the final inspection certificate was issued for the property located at 1192/94 Forest Street, according to its old number. Since then this still life has become a favorite of the public, who usually choose, among all the abundant dishes, the incredible picadasa good milanese or some exquisite squid rings, and for dessert, as usual, a perfect homemade flan with dulce de leche.

Ocho Esquinas is located at Av. Forest at 1186, Colegiales. It is open from Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 11 pm; and from Friday to Saturday from 8 to 24.

THE HIPPO

Lying in the neighborhood of San Telmo, one of the most classic and picturesque of Argentine culture, El Hipoptamo is one of the oldest and most recognized still lifes in Buenos Aires, having been born in 1909, when it was a warehouse and drinks office. As usual the portions are plentifuland among the highlights are the ravioli and milanese, and for dessert a classic custard.

The Hipoptamos is located on Avenida Brasil at 401 and its opening hours are from Monday to Thursday from 7:30 to 2am; and Fridays and Saturdays until 3am.
