What do they say behind closed doors and is Vaccari still there?

When Pablo Echavarría marked the end of the match, the José Amalfitani collapsed. It is that Vélez’s defeat against Central Córdoba, by 2-1, was the straw that broke the camel’s back, the knockout blow: much more than three points lost along the way. And no one was spared: there were insults against the players, against Sergio Rapisarda and against all those who -according to the Fortinero fan- are responsible for the bad moment the club is experiencing. To top, Those members who finished the game approached the headquarters to claim, they ran into a double police cordon that made it impossible for them to enter...

The Amalfitani surrounded by Police, the saddest image.

And the anger, to a greater or lesser extent, also goes through the lack of explanations. No leader has come out to clarify what the plan is to reverse the situation, or what will be done -or what will not be done- from now on. To all this (as if that were not enough) are added the speculations about Julio Vaccariinterim DT who barely got a win (vs. Lanús in his debut) in the six games he directed.

This Thursday, Olé tried to communicate with important surnames that make up the Vélez CD and, beyond the fact that several chose silence, there was some response from Juan B. Justo at 9200. Here’s what they said from the inside and how the story continues.

The messages that were arriving showed astonishment and concern. The reason for the concern does not need to be clarified, while the astonishment has to do with the fact that “we did not imagine this situation”. From Vélez they affirm and confirm that not even in the most pessimistic thoughts could such a hostile present fit: Fortín needs a miracle to get into the next round of the League Cup and next Tuesday, against Nacional at the Amalfitani, life is at stake in the Libertadores with a squad full of kids.

In turn, when asked about the possibility of going in search of a technician, they said that “At this time there is no decision made, it is time to be prudent”. In addition, they added that they do not want to “give drowning hands” and prefer to evaluate the different options with serenity. Serenity that, at this point, the Vélez fan has already lost.

“We are focused on Nacional, it is a very important match”They finally broadcast. And yes, they are key days for the Liniers team, which, although far from the numerical, seems to be experiencing a climate similar to that of the years 2016/2017, when the sporting and institutional reality was even worse.

We will have to take action on the matter or those flashes will be more and more familiar and close…
