After his retirement from football, in December 2021, at the age of 33, after suffering a coronary arrhythmia, Sergio Kun Agüero began to make decisions that he previously left in the hands of football. The most important: where to live? He had anticipated his followers, via streaming, that he would not establish residence in Argentina. Among the various reasons he offered, he named insecurity and tax pressure. “It doesn’t bother me to pay for income, because if you have income, you are clearly working and doing well. Nothing happens if I pay the income of 30%, 35%, in England it is 50%. You are generating money, that’s fine, you pay. What does not convince me is that you pay an annual percentage of the assets you have, it seems crazy to me. If you already paid income taxes, why do you have to continue paying more money?”, he argued. With Argentina ruled out, speculation began: would he remain in Manchester, where he is revered as a god by half the city? Or would he settle in Barcelona, ​​his last sporting destination?

Just two months ago, while he was assuming the frustration of not being able to participate in the World Cup in Qatar, which was his last great goal in soccer, Agüero decided to found his new home in Miami. And he shelled out $15 million for a spectacular mansion in the Hollywood Beach area, north of Aventura Mall.

The “Spanish-inspired and modern design” residence is located on a lot of more than 4000 square meters. According to the real estate website, the property has 1400 covered square meters distributed in 9 rooms (all overlooking the maritime channel), 13 bathrooms, 2 cellars, a cinema room, a tennis court, a gym, a sauna and a completely independent guest house, with two other bedrooms, two bathrooms and its own kitchen. All main rooms have marble floors, white, radiant.

The master suite is divided into different environments: in addition to the bedroom, with an open view of the canal, it has two dressing rooms, a massage room, a large bathroom and a fully glazed space with a circular Jacuzzi in the center. Another of the guest suites has a private living room and dressing room.

The house, which is located on the canal, on a corner, so it does not have neighbors on its fronts, is practically “brand new”, since it was recently renovated. Only in the renovation they spent 6 million dollars.

Kun Agüero is not alone: ​​he is accompanied by his girlfriend, the designer Sofía Calzetti, with whom he already lived in Manchester. Perhaps, only they know, they founded their new family in Hollywood Beach. While he defines his future, he attends to his other passion: e-sports. Last year he inaugurated his first Gaming Center, called KRU Esportsin Palermo, which he defined as “a dream come true”.

In his new gallery, last Sunday, “Kun” celebrated his 34th birthday with some 90 friends and family. Among them were Tomás Eurnekian, Rocio Guirao Díaz, Charly Alberti, Zorrito von Quintiero. Some of the guests, like his brother, soccer player Mauricio Del Castillo and his cousins, traveled from Buenos Aires to Miami especially for the event.
